Traveling full-time for work could sounds good but doing this for years and years is cool at the beginning. At the end, it becomes just a job, so last month I decide to stop.
Quit the job that everyone wants for a normal work in a normal boring city is not really a story that everyone would like to read but this is my story, the story of a girl from a small town who has done it alone making her dreams come true.
Hello sweeties,
I’m writing this maybe more for myself than for the others.
One chapter of my life is finish and I still feel in the limbo trying to find my dimension in this “normal” life.
A BIT OF MY STORY
I always love the Bartending and when I was 20, after finish school and made some little experience behind the bar I decide to improve my skills and I moved ( alone LOL ) at first in London for learn English imagining that it could be useful to me and after in Milan “the cocktails world capital”.
In England I have been learning about team work and how to behave and talk among colleagues and costumers. Something that in Italy it is not taken into consideration too much.
In Milan I learned all I know about making drinks and the management of a cafe bar thanks to an excellent barman and a great boss and making specific courses.
After 5 years like this, by a stroke of luck I was called for an interview with Redbull and is start my “all around the world job”.
For my last 6 years I travelled for something like 30 weeks per year from Japan to India and USA, Canada, Singapore, China, all around Europe and more..
It was so cool and special to have the possibility to travel like this doing the job that you love.
I always feel so grateful for this and proud of myself too.
So now is coming the sad part of the story. Been always around the world it makes you lose all your family special moments ( and for an Italian that’s all).
