ITINERARY: We were on the whole Saturday to the Biennale, Sunday San Marco, Ca ‘Rezzonico, La Fenice Theater and the Dorsoduro area, Accademia and Cannareggio districts, while on Monday morning we had booked the “Doge Secret Tracks” At Palazzo Ducale and a walk in Murano in the early afternoon then return in the evening by train.

ACCOMODATION: Hotel il Castello. Just few steps from San Marco Square, rococo and liberty style invades the whole hotel (help), but in the end we are in Venice so it is impossible to escape it! The room and bathroom (with window, miracle) were always clean, an honest Italian breakfast is included in the price. Great accommodation, highly recommended!

FOOD AND DRINK:

Bar Ostaria Simson, Fondamente dei Felzi, 6316 – Perfect for the aperitif, owner so fun, very good drinks.

Osteria alla Staffa, Sestriere Castello 6398 – Highly recommended! Good price, fish so good and location amazing.

Pizzeria Aciugheta Campo SS Filippo e Giacomo 4357 – Expensive pizza but good.

Osteria Ruga di Jaffa, Castello 4864 – Cheap, food and wine good. Perfect for eat like typical bruschette from venice.

Pizza al trancio Arte della pizza, cannareggio 1861 – The best pizza I ever had.

TIPS:The cost of the boats is very expensive so if you plan to use them different, you should subscribe. In the inns you eat so good, do not disdain them just because they do not have the latest screaming furniture. Put your soul in peace, you will lose yourself in Venice. Often. Point. So I suggest when it happens, and it will happen, go to hostess order a wine chop, after all it will go great. Cicchetti are portions, like Venetian tapas, all to try!
