WEEKEND IN MILAN: 16 UNCOMMON PLACES ABSOLUTELY TO VISIT

WEEKEND IN MILAN: 16 UNCOMMON PLACES ABSOLUTELY TO VISIT

My TIPS about what to do and see in Milan, especially about food and beverage.

I spent 5 years in this city and even though I decided to return to my beloved northeast, I left in Milan a bit of heart and life.

If you go beyond the appearances and the usual places, Milan offers very special charms and being a great city does not need to tell you how much it is full of attractions, locals and solutions for all pockets.

So I leave you my list of things not to be missed in Milan – obviously with no order!

1. A MOLECULAR DRINK AT THE “NOTTINGHAM FOREST”

nottingham_forrest_drink

You can’t leave Milan without drink something in this amazing bar.

Dario Comini is one of the most famous molecolar mixologist and barman of the world e create liquid emotions.

Already the choosing of the drink is an experience! The menu is gigantic with dozens of cocktails and as you can see I’m drinking a bathtub, with foam and eaten ducks LOL.

It ranges from the most common, such as martini cocktails in many variants, to molecular drinks, aphrodisiacs or  jelly cups;

There are drinks who play with hot / cold, taste and smell, or sweet and spicy, all in one drink! . Do not frighten yourself from the queue that is very often outside the room, trust me, have patience and you will be rewarded!

2. IT’S HIRO! – A JAPAN GIRL IN MILAN

hiro

There are a lot of Japanese restaurants in Milan but Hiro (who is also the owner’s name) is the best. Small RESTAURANT  in the Porta Romana area has the timeless classic of Japanese cuisine but the TOP is off the menu! Every time it is an experience of new flavors so far away from our kitchen but with simple ingredient as we are accustomed to.

Spaced from meat to fish, everything is worth tasting, even the cakes!

Ah! Hiro’s other charm is the location: it’s in front of a famous vodka bar

3. PRAVDA – THE BISON VODKA

Super-supplied vodkeria, very easy environment and exceptional drinks! The fresh raspberry vodka-sour is my favorite but also after-dinner SHOTS are great. For a top aperitif or a cool night. Only for originals drink lovers. (more…)
